2. General information on data processing

The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process personal data exclusively within the scope of the statutory provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

On our website, personal data is collected only to the extent technically necessary or when you provide it to us voluntarily (e.g. by email). We do not pass it on to third parties or process it for other purposes.

3. Purposes and legal bases of data processing

We process personal data exclusively for the following purposes:

  • To respond to inquiries you send us through the contact options provided.

The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and functional provision of the website) as well as Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures in response to inquiries).

4. Data collected

When you access our website, the web server automatically transmits information required to display the website. These so-called server log files can contain the following data:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • IP address
  • Date and time of the server request

This data is used exclusively to ensure technical operation, to defend against attacks and for error analysis. This data is not combined with other data sources.

5. Contact form

If you send us an inquiry via the contact form, the information you provide in the form, including the contact details you provide (organization, first name, last name, email address, message), is processed exclusively to handle your inquiry and for any follow-up questions.

The processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a contract) or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, provided you have consented to the processing (e.g. by ticking the checkbox below the form).

Your information is not passed on to third parties and is deleted once your inquiry has been fully processed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Cookies & local storage

Our website does not use tracking cookies. Only technically necessary storage access may occur. Consent is not required for this pursuant to § 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG (German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act).

Cookie consent (localStorage): On your first visit to our website, your cookie consent is requested via the banner shown. We store your decision (accepting all cookies or only necessary cookies) in your browser's localStorage under the key lyn-cookie-consent. This storage takes place exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to us. The legal basis is § 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG (technically necessary storage to manage your consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

7. Web analytics with Ahrefs Analytics

We use the Ahrefs Analytics service provided by Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., 16 Raffles Quay, #33-03 Hong Leong Building, Singapore 048581 (hereinafter "Ahrefs"). Ahrefs Analytics is a privacy-friendly web analytics tool that helps us understand and continuously improve the use of our website on an aggregated basis.

Consent required: Ahrefs Analytics is loaded only if you have clicked "Accept all" in the cookie banner. Without your explicit consent, no data is transmitted to Ahrefs whatsoever.

Data collected: Number of visitors, pages viewed, time spent, referrer URL, browser type, operating system, approximate geographic region (country). IP addresses are not permanently stored by Ahrefs. No cookies are set and no browser fingerprinting is used. We are unable to identify individual persons.

Purpose and legal basis: Statistical analysis of website usage to improve our offering. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Consent is voluntary and can be refused or withdrawn at any time without disadvantage.

Storage period: Ahrefs stores aggregated statistics for a maximum of 13 months. Individual session data is not stored long term.

Data transfer: Transfer to third countries (outside the EU) is possible. Ahrefs processes the data in compliance with data protection law; details and the Ahrefs privacy policy can be found at ahrefs.com/privacy.

Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer and selecting "Necessary only". The withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point.

8. Web analytics with Microsoft Clarity

We use the Microsoft Clarity service provided by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, USA (hereinafter "Microsoft"). Clarity is a web analytics tool that helps us understand user behavior and the usability of our website.

Consent required: Microsoft Clarity is loaded only if you have clicked "Accept all" in the cookie banner. Without your explicit consent, no data is transmitted to Microsoft whatsoever.

Data collected: Page visits, mouse movements, clicks and scrolls for analyzing user interactions. Microsoft Clarity also records the browser type, operating system and approximate geographic region. Identifying individual persons is not possible.

Purpose and legal basis: Improving usability and analyzing website performance. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Consent is voluntary and can be refused or withdrawn at any time without disadvantage.

Data transfer: Transfer to third countries (outside the EU) is possible. Microsoft offers standard contractual clauses for the data transfer. Details on Microsoft Clarity's privacy policy can be found at clarity.microsoft.com/privacy.

Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer and selecting "Necessary only".

9. Online appointment booking (Cal.com)

To arrange appointments (e.g. strategy calls), we offer you online appointment booking via the Cal.com service provided by Cal.com, Inc. We use a configuration with data processing within the European Union (EU region/hosting) to ensure GDPR-compliant processing.

Loaded only on click: The booking widget is loaded only when you actively click the "Book a strategy call" button. Simply visiting our website does not establish any connection to Cal.com and no data is transmitted.

Data collected: The information you provide in the booking form (in particular name, email address, chosen appointment, and any optional details/messages), as well as technical connection data (e.g. IP address, browser type) processed when the widget is loaded.

Purpose and legal basis: Arranging and conducting appointments. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation of a contract or pre-contractual measures) as well as Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient appointment scheduling). By actively starting the booking process you also consent to the loading of the service (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

10. Fonts (self-hosted)

This website uses the font Inter, which is served directly from our own server. No connection to Google servers or other external font providers is established. This means your IP address is not transmitted to third-party providers.

11. Recipients of data

Personal data is not passed on to third parties. Data is transmitted only within the scope of legal obligations or with your express consent.

12. Storage period

Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations. Server log data is generally deleted automatically after 7 days.

13. Rights of data subjects

Within the scope of the applicable legal requirements, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR): to the personal data we process about you
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): of your stored data
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection (Art. 21 GDPR) to the processing of your data, insofar as it is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR

14. Withdrawal of consent

If you have given us consent to process data, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.

15. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Typically the competent authority is the one at your place of residence or the company's registered office.

16. Obligation to provide data and consequences of non-provision

Providing personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, it is necessary if you wish to contact us. Without the necessary contact details, we cannot process your inquiry.

17. Data security

We take technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure. Our website is served via an encrypted HTTPS connection.

18. Currency and changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy is currently valid and dated: May 2026. We reserve the right to update this privacy policy in response to changes to our website or legal requirements.
